Beach, Love and Seagulls
By Audrey Alma Meyer
Brazil, Buzios, Beach.
A ribbon of sand,
No one around-
Winter, two thousand and fifteen.
Every day,
On that sandy bay,
In some kind of melancholy.
A place for ourselves,
Immensitude,
A breath of rapture.
A deserted expanse,
Profound bliss,
Open space,
Inner grace.
We are alone,
On our own-
How exceptional!
How sensational!
A full- view horizon,
Smashing waves,
The sound of the wind,
Sand grains swirling.
Wings outstretched,
Beaks ajar,
Seagulls yelling,
Along the shoreline.
And on the ground,
My boy in circles dancing,
Capoeira with no sound,
But the one of the wind.
Observing,
At peace,
In love,
Gratitude.
